Incarnation of Love for Humankind Admired by World

More than 10 years have passed since the demise of the great Comrade Kim Jong Il. But the world progressive people still reverentially remember the great General as the saint of humankind who was endowed with ardent love for the people and embellished the grand flower garden of human love.

During his lifetime, he, having possessed the greatest love for posterity, dedicated himself to safeguarding laughter and happiness of all the children in the world. Among them are these anecdotes. He showed his warm love to even the children from foreign countries blessing their bright future, transcending the differences in the races, nations, frontiers and political views.

This happened when Raul Garcia Alvarez, a linguist of Cuba, visited our country with his wife in June 1988.

He and his wife had been married for 10 years, but had no children. When the great General learned about this he saw to it that the couple stayed in our country even after the length of their stay is over to make sure their baby be delivered safely in the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital. He was so much affectionate towards the couple, providing them with excellent living conditions during their stay.

When their son was born under his tender loving care, the couple, in appreciation of it, wished him to name the baby. The great General accepted their wish with a good grace and named the baby “Saebyol” (morning star). He also sent the couple lots of presents to be given to the baby.

The wife of Mustafa Al Safarini, a diplomatic envoy of Palestine staying in Pyongyang, received medical treatment in the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital and gave birth to a lovely daughter in 1985. The great General named the baby girl “Jindallae” (azalea) and sent valuable gifts wishing her good health and happiness. Even after that, he sent benevolent gifts to Jindallae every year on her birthdays.

This did not end here. When he received Jindallae’s letter, humbly asking to do her friend Ruba a favor and give hope to her who lost smile due to her thinning hair, he let Ruba come to our country and also made meticulous arrangement for her treatment.

Thus, in February 1994, Ruba’s parents could meet in delight with their daughter who was reborn as a beautiful and cheerful girl. The couple, reflecting their feelings of thanks, reverently sent an appreciative letter to the great General.

The great General’s love for the future was indeed the sun’s rays reaching beyond the frontiers and the oceans, and our General was the incarnation of human love who warmly touched the heart of everyone and embraced the whole world with his great love.

This is why the world progressive people are admiring the great General who embodied noble love for the posterity and embroidered countless legends of love, and they are saying aloud that the sun of love for the future will never die out and shine throughout the whole world forever.
